Limited and Restricted Neopets. The Neopets site boasts 55 different species of pet for you to own; to obtain a few of them, though, you'll have to work a little bit harder than usual. In particular, getting a Krawk, a Lutari or a Draik can be a bit tricky - so much so that we've given them their own guides. Old Neopets; Old Neopets. Before customisation hit Neopia in 2007, the look of Neopets changed every few years to give them a fresher look. Below, you can browse through the versions of each species, some having more than others. Neopets was conceived in 1997 by Adam Powell, a British student at the University of Nottingham at the time. He shared this idea with Donna Williams and the two started work on the site in September 1999, with Powell responsible for the programming and the database and Williams the web design and art. Their original office was located in Guildford.

StorylineOnce upon a time, on the ancient days of Neopia, there was magic and there was an assembly of good magicians, the Circle of Twelve. Between them featured Jahbal and Xantan.

Some time later Jahbal was driven mad by his power and started a war against the others, creating monsters all over the place. Xantan lost great part of his magic and was ehiled on the North of Neopia. Kal Panning, the great city fell in the hands of Jahbal and had all it’s inhabitants turned into zombies and monsters. So, the other sorcerers decided to control the issue. But Jahbal discovered them and flew to the Two Rings, where he remained.
The other magicians left him there, since they did not knew what kind of powers he had hidden on his tower.
In way to handle the cataclysm the magicians made a magic barrier over Jahbal and they remained in peace for sometime. But somehow he discovered how to pass his magic through that barrier. He could not pass it but his magic and monsters were still able to destroy everything around, collapsing the Empire.
And than you appeared and twisted the happy collapse of the Empire!
Beaten Jahbal you discover that he was just a puppet on the hands of an even eviler monster: Mastermind. He’s the real mean guy behind all the destruction!
But, somehow, you manage to beat him. And, sadly, your problems had just begun… The true boss, the most INSANE powerful wizard is… Xantan? Indeed. You’ve beaten him once, on your trips, now it’s time to beat his true form, bigger, nastier and eviler than ever! Will you be able to save the neopian empire of the monster?Starting the gameThis game is located at the Puzzle section of the games room. You must fight the Normal mode before the others. Then, will come the Evil! and the Insane! The major differences are that monsters go stronger on Evil and Insane and that on this last one you can’t lose. If you do you’ll have to start the game all over again, from the Level 1.

The first step of the game is to choose a wand. It does not matter the wand you choose, they have all the same effect.

Than, the hard part: choosing skills. You have 5 types of Magic. Don’t waste skill points on Fire or Ice, since they are just damage without great collateral effects. Shock and Spectral are great options, but I’d also invest some on Life. Shock and Spectral magic can stun your enemy, absorb damage, reflect it and, later, you’ll have more chances to make more sequential moves than your enemy. Life magic is great because… it heals you.

If you like don’t invest too much on resurrection since it will just work (resurrect you when you lose a battle) 50% of the times.

Always move on hunting mode, to train faster. When the monsters of the area turn too weak to you change to sneaking mode, and you’ll get no enemies.

There are some “skipable” bosses. That means that they’re not essential to complete the game. But, anyway, we’re fighting them on this guide because they’re awesome to train and they give you nice weapon upgrades.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

The Dank Cave
You start on the city. Move to the Dank Cave and pass it’s four levels. In the end there is your first boss: Xantan the Foul (check the later section on this guide to Boss Strategy). Use the teleporter behind him and go back to the city. There upgrade your armour and wand. Move on to east and enter the Jungle Ruins.
The Jungle Ruins
(you can skip this part, but it’s easier if you don’t)
First go downstairs and fight the two giant Meepits, Krei and Gors. Krei is found on the first level of the dungeon. Use the teleporter behind him to go back to the beginning of the level. Just than go downstairs to fight Gors.

To reach his garden you need to go past a teleporter maze. The first teleporter is down on left. To the second go further down, turn right and up again. To the third teleporter go right, up and left. Finally go up and right, to the last teleporter.

After you defeat Gors use the teleporter behind him to go up. Move on upstairs till the first level of the ruins. There talk to Denethir and upgrade your weapon.

Go back to the dungeons and move on till the third and last level. There you’ll be able to fight Rollay, that will give you an useful item. Use the teleporter to come back.

The upper levels of the ruins are just storyline, so you can save time and not explore them.

Temple of Roo
(you can skip this part, but it’s easier if you don’t)
Leave the Jungle Ruins and go further up and east. Pass down the swamp and fight a bit on the desert for items. Than go back to the swamp and find your way to the Swamp Edge City, where you’ll find weapon upgrades. Just than move to the Temple of Roo.

To get your way to the Archmagus of Roo you must collect keys from unique monsters. The first is on the very first room and will be given out by a Ghastly Initiate. It’ll give you a copper-plated key that will let you enter the second room, further up and right. There fight a Ghastly adept to receive a bronze-plated key. Move on to the third room, the big one on down (near the first) where you must fight a Ghastly priest to receive a silver-plated key. This will able you to enter the fourth room the big one on the top left. Fight a Ghastly master, receive the gold-plated key and move to the fifth room, located under the second. There you must fight a Ghastly archon to receive a platinum-plated key that will, finally, able you to enter the sixth room, the small one on the centre (door turned to the left). Fight there a Ghastly templar that’ll give you the Crystalline key.

This time, after walking so much you probably trained a lot and leveled up. And you probably saw where is the Archmagus, so go there and fight him.
Use the teleporter to go back to the level one and don’t leave! Talk to Erick first to receive an avatar. He’s located “inside” that big obstacle that you see when you leave the sand. He’s on the right side, so you must turn the obstacle to talk to him. Give him the Clouded Gem and… ta-da “Something has happened!”.
Leave the Temple of Roo and go to the boring part of the game: Techo Caves

Neopets Original Site

First fight around to upgrade your armour with Mr. Irgo. Pass that first Cave and go down and left to the second.
Past that cave go to left and enter another. Pass it and you’ll find your way to the Sunny City. Talk there to the people and you’ll get a good artifact. Go back to the cave and enter the cave right (that would be the second one), pass it and enter the next cave on the right. This will lead you to two enters, one down other right. Go to the right for the Mountain Forestress, to get your final weapon upgrades.

There, fight the Guardians (that I consider here mini-bosses). Fight all of them, to train. Each one will drop a staff and the best of them is the Moonstone staff, given out by the Guardian of Life Magic. The Guardians will drop two armour upgrades, but the best is the Inferno Robe, since it reflects damage and hurts your enemy. End with the fortress is time to choose that second cave enter that I’ve talked above (the “one down”) This will lead you to the southeast and later part of the game.

Kal Panning
Located at the north part of this section, between a forest.

Find your way trough the destruction and fight Faellin. Now you’ll understand why you stopped at the Sunny City, since she’ll be instantly defeated when you show her Rollay’s Medallion.

She’ll give you the key to the Two Rings, where you’ll find your final boss (that will be different depending on the game you’re playing: Normal, Evil! or Insane!)

The Two Rings
Be sure that you’re levelled up before you enter, because there’s no turn back! There are two levels with monsters, where you shall reach the Level 50 and get lots of healing potions. Be sure that you’re ready to the final fight, with full health. Now, go on to the last boss and congratulations! You finished Neoquest!
